Budget Analyst
The Budget Analyst analyzes financial information, prepares budgets and responds to reporting as required by all entities and funding sources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and completion of budgets across the Wingspan Care Group enterprise and its funding sources.
- Report to and works with Director of Finance in preparing agency budgets for presentation to CFO.
- Coordinate efforts with senior managers and supervisors responsible for specific divisional and service area budgets.
- Work directly with the Development Department to create budgets in response to external funding requests and program opportunities.
- Coordinate with other accounting staff to assure that cost allocation methodology is consistent between budgets and actual data.
- Analyze past, present and estimated future financial performance of revenue and expenditures in the budget preparation.
- Develop and implement systematic process improvements to the budgeting function.

Respond to all budget reporting requirements, meeting submission deadlines as well as actual to budget reporting as required by external and internal users and funding sources.
- Responsible for the accuracy of the budget within Great Plains for all funds and companies of Wingspan.
- Prepare periodic actual reporting.
- Prepare and maintains documentation of the budgeting process and support.
- Perform general accounting functions as needed or assigned.
- Assist departmental staff with other financial matters as requested or needed.
- Perform other duties, such as ad-hoc reporting, and/or assistance with special projects, as needed.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Attend staff meetings and on-going training.
- Oversee petty cash reimbursements for agency programs and regularly reconciles petty cash fund balances.
- Provide back-up coverage for functions of other staff in their absence.
- Respect and hold in confidence all information obtained during budget preparation and handles documents in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to organization policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required.
2. Licensure: CPA or CMA preferred.
3. Skills/Competencies:
- Strong advanced accounting skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Sensibility in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities.
- Possess practical and creative problem solving skills.
- Core Expertise: Possesses skill, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential duties of their role; keeps knowledge up to date.

4. Experience: 1-3 years of related experience.
