Montefiore has created the new position of Client Engagement Therapies Programmer. This unique position is multi-faceted, however, overarchingly the successful candidate will evaluate and enhance our existing leisure and lifestyle and creative therapy programmes to ensure they are meaningful and meeting our consumers’ needs.


You’ll be reporting into the Client Engagement Therapies Manager and working collaboratively with both the Leisure and Lifestyle and Creative Therapy Leads across 10 residential care units to develop and implement new programmes.  


A snapshot of key responsibilities include:



  • Identifying opportunities to develop and deliver creative, therapeutic activities tailored to the needs and interests of our residents.

  • Fostering an engaging, supportive environment that prioritises resident wellbeing and quality of life.

  • Collaborating with the care team to assess and adapt programming to suit individual needs.

  • Monitoring and evaluating programme outcomes, providing insights to improve resident engagement and satisfaction.

  • Identifying external talent, entertainers, and engaging shows that align with resident interests and enhance community spirit.


Our Client Engagement Therapies Programmer will:



  • Hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Therapeutic Recreation) with membership of DTA of Australia and a minimum of five year’s post grad experience

  • Have the ability to think strategically and effectively implement strategic and operational initiatives.

  • Have experience supporting a culture of ongoing quality improvement and continuing professional development.

  • Demonstrate well-developed time management skills and have effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Have prior knowledge and experience in working in a health or aged care setting and planning and implementing programmes for consumers living with dementia and cognitive decline.

  • Have vast knowledge of regulatory standards related to client engagement therapy and awareness of the standards relevant to the Aged Care sector.
