Overview:

We are currently seeking a Community Habilitation Worker to join our team in White Plains, NY.  In this part-time (up to 20 hours per week) position, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities.  The salary range is $17.00-$20.00/hour.

 

Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting in the development of individuals’ Community Habilitation Plans.
  • Supporting individuals in achieving their chosen personalized outcomes and stated goals.
  • Providing assistance, services and supports to promote independence in daily living activities within the residence.
  • Facilitating the development of social skills through education, training, and role modeling.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 6-12 months experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Must have knowledge of basic residential services.
  • Able to participate in, pass and maintain certification of WJCS required training that includes but may not be limited to Medication Administration, SCIP, CPR/First Aid, Driving the Van and Mandatory Training as identified by OPWDD.
