Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Database Analyst will join a growing and strategic team at the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. The Database Analyst is responsible for administering, managing, and optimizing the organization's customer relationship management (CRM) database platform and related systems. This role performs analytics to generate strategic insights for philanthropy, marketing, education, and impact teams. This professional will also take on a leadership role in supporting the organization’s IT structure. 

The primary responsibilities for this role will include: 


  • Manage the ongoing customization, configuration, and maintenance of the organization’s CRM software solution, Microsoft Dynamics 

  • Develop and document data standards, policies, and processes   

  • Create customized dashboards, reports, and visualizations for internal teams and external stakeholders 

  • Analyze donor and potential donor data to identify actionable patterns, trends, and insights to assist planning  

  • Connect data and information from various other sources with the CRM platform  

  • Validate new and existing donor data in system 

  • Continuously monitor CRM data integrity and implement enhancements  

  • Stay current on best practices and developments in CRM and data analytical technologies to provide recommendations and keep the organization functioning at the highest capacity in terms of data management 

  • Manage the organization’s external IT consultant and provide day-to-day support for staff IT needs. 

  • Other duties as needed. 



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant field 

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with CRM platforms and data analytics 

  • Proficiency with CRM tools, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 

  • Broad computer and information technology knowledge 

  • Deep understanding of statistical and analytical concepts  

  • Meticulous attention to detail with data 

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation abilities
