JDC, the world’s leading Jewish humanitarian assistance organization, is seeking to hire a creative and dynamic individual with superior organizational skills to fill the position of Donor Relations Team Manager. This is a temporary, six to nine-month position.
The Donor Relations team serves as a critical component of JDC's global Resource Development (RD) department and provides support to front-line fundraisers throughout the world along with engaging in active stewardship of relationships with individual donors, foundations, and Jewish Federations.
What will you do as the Donor Relations Team Manager?
- Manage and supervise a team of Donor Relations Officers (aka Account Managers). Liaise with Senior Development Officers as necessary, to ensure maximum effectiveness and product quality, and address any issues that arise.
- Develop and implement skills training to strengthen the functioning and effectiveness of the Donor Relations unit, to be presented in team meetings as well as ongoing individual meetings.
- Manage the Donor Relations team members’ account portfolios – assigning and switching accounts and special projects as necessary and overseeing workloads.
- Manage your own portfolio of accounts including engagement, stewardship and solicitation of JDC funders and partners.
- Prepare and edit specialized written materials including writing and editing grant applications and customized proposals, reports, funding menus, and other communications and materials.
- Lead donor visits in Israel, including public speaking, group facilitation and occasionally Hebrew-English translation.
- Develop expertise in JDC's global programming to serve as a key conduit of program information to front-line fundraisers and your own donor portfolio.

What qualifications do you need to be our Donor Relations Manager?
- Experience managing people and/or projects
- 3-5 years of experience in non-profit work
- English - mother tongue; Hebrew - high level
- Bachelor's degree required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PPT, Outlook
- Excellent project management skills
- Familiarity with the American Jewish philanthropic environment

Location: Jerusalem, Israel (Hybrid) (2 days a week from the office – Mondays and Wednesdays)
