Position Overview:

 

Reporting directly to the Food Service Supervisor, Food Service Workers at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation are responsible for the sanitary and safe handling of food and equipment.

 

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Set up work station
  • Assemble resident/patient meal trays
  • Deliver food carts
  • Remove completed trays from dining areas
  • Follow proper sanitation procedures
  • Assemble and deliver supplements
  • Operates food equipment
  • Complete meal cart delivery report
  • Check each meal tray for completeness
  • Store food and supplies
  • Understand written and oral instructions
  • Adhere strictly to infection control policy and procedures

Position Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • A flexible schedule
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or customer service role in food service strongly preferred
