Pay Range: $45-55/hour
Schedule: Thursdays at 6:30pm 

 

The Place: The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC) is an exciting and innovative non-profit organization in the heart of Silicon Valley. We create fun, meaningful, inclusive and joyful experiences through educational, social, cultural, spiritual, fitness and wellness programs. Join us! Year-round positions available!  

The Classes:  The OFJCC is seeking a currently certified Les Mills BODYPUMP® group fitness instructor to take over an established BODYPUMP class on Thursdays at 6:30pm. 

The Core Duties:

  • Deliver safe, fun and motivating BODYPUMP classes
  • Stay up to date on BODYPUMP releases
  • Provide appropriate modifications and progressions for a wide range of fitness levels
  • Provide excellent and courteous customer service to members
  • Communicate with Group Exercise Manager on member feedback, equipment needs and operational status, scheduling, and subbing

The Essentials:

  • Current Les Mills Body Pump certification
  • Prior experience teaching Group Exercise classes 
  • Confident in your professionalism and a passion to motivate others
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology and training principals
  • Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and the incorporations of music, tempo, cueing technique, and rhythm
  • Continue to earn all necessary Continuing Education Credit’s (CECs or CEUs)
  • Collaborative and a flexible leader in and out of the studio
  • Extensive knowledge of classes being taught
  • Excellent communication skills
