Position Summary: | The Head Librarian is responsible for supporting the educational enterprise of the University by envisioning and overseeing a broad range of mission-driven and operational areas, including research services, instruction, access services, course reserves, and interlibrary loan. Developing and maintain collections in all fields excluding Jewish Studies, the Head Librarian supervises professional and support staff members who also maintain collections and provide services. The Head Librarian ensures effective outreach to students, faculty and scholars. The Head Librarian works under the guidance of the Director of University Libraries and supervises unionized professional librarians, supervisory professional librarians and unionized support staff. In addition, this position will manage a discretionary materials budget of $40,000. |
