Position Overview:


The Jewish Board, a leading organization in mental health services and social support, is seeking a Human Resources Assistant (HR Assistant) to join our team. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is crucial in supporting the HR department and ensuring the efficiency of administrative operations. This position is 100% remote, under CLT employment, and offers benefits such as health insurance and meal vouchers.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Employee File Management: Maintain and update confidential employee files and records in accordance with legal requirements and organizational policies; assist in retrieving files for the HR team and tracking their location.

  • Event and Meeting Assistance: Schedule meetings for HR leadership and staff; assist in planning and executing HR events, such as holiday parties and training sessions; develop and distribute surveys for team feedback.

  • HR Support Activities: Oversee the issuance of employment and salary verifications in compliance with legal requirements; prepare loan forgiveness forms and other miscellaneous requests; coordinate with Talent Acquisition partners as needed.

  • Access and Supply Management: Maintain the building access system; sort and distribute incoming e-faxes to the HR department; assist in managing HR office supplies; provide support for the HR phone line and invoice processing.

  • Additional Activities: Prepare documents and reports as needed; assist with the THRIVE program (tuition assistance/discount) and respond to related requests.

Education/Training Requirements:


  • Bachelors degree is preferred.


Experience and Skills:


  • General knowledge of office administration and basic understanding of human resource functions.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage complex schedules.

  • Deadline-driven with effective time management skills.


Computer Skills:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Knowledge of HRIS systems (such as Dayforce) is preferable.
