JOB SUMMARY
You will perform a variety of equipment and building maintenance repairs including: cleaning, event support, grounds keeping, pool operation, basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting & carpentry and other tasks assigned. This is a full time, 40 hour position.

You maintain high standards of cleanliness and pristine repair throughout the building to ensure that members, employees and visitors enjoy a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Maintain thirty-two HVAC units, five to sixty tons
  • Perform daily building inspections of equipment and building appearance, looking for anything that is out of place or work that needs to be completed
  • Understand the JCC emergency codes and responsibilities, maintain compliance with all JCC policies and facilities department procedures
  • Maintenances of one 40-ton pool pack system, pool maintenance/testing/record keeping
  • Maintain 28 blower/exhaust fans
  • Maintain chilled water fountains
  • Bulb replacement, interior and exterior
  • Maintain all water circulation pumps and trash pumps
  • Upkeep of walk in refrigerators/freezers, standup boxes & ice machines
  • Maintain BCU System
  • Responsible for interior fire alarm monitoring, running drills testing and record keeping
  • Electrical maintenance of HVAC units
  • General equipment upkeep
  • Plumbing repairs drain maintenance
  • Perform tasks as assigned
  • Working out of multiple locations
OUR REQUIREMENTS
  • Five or more years’ experience with commercial HVAC company as a Mechanic
  • High school diploma or GED
  • HVAC certification / Freon recovery certification
  • Must be able to cooperate, assist and support, and get along with the rest of the Team
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • NYC Fire Department Certifications
  • Must be able to move snow seasonally, as required, working in inclement weather conditions
  • Three years or more experiences with Trane system and Honeywell BMS
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid New York driver’s license
  • Fingerprinting/background check
  • Must obtain NYC FD certificate of Fitness for Fire Drill Conductor
  • Must pass safety training on lift
  • Ability to operate tractor/backhoe

SALARY
$60,000 - $65,000 annually
