WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Jewish Engagement Coordinator will develop and implement outreach and engagement efforts within the Jewish community. The coordinator will educate the community about JFS services, connect individuals in need to agency programming, and facilitate donor/volunteer engagement. This role will involve collaboration with various departments, community organizations, and stakeholders to foster a sense of community, promote cultural understanding, enhance the overall well-being of the community members, support donor cultivation and stewardship efforts, and plan and coordinate events.

Key Responsibilities
Community Outreach and Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with synagogues, Jewish community centers, schools, and other relevant organizations.
  • Serve as a liaison between the agency and the broader Jewish community.
  • Identify community needs and refer to program or case management staff for further development.
  • Partner with program staff to improve or expand existing services offered.

Partnerships and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with local and national Jewish organizations to enhance program offerings and resources.
  • Seek opportunities for partnerships and joint initiatives that benefit the Jewish community.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support Jewish engagement programs.

Relationship Building and Stewardship:

  • Identify and cultivate stakeholder relationships to support Jewish engagement and agency initiatives Including recruiting groups/congregations into the Jewish Partnership Program.
  • Assist with the creation of fundraising campaigns and events that highlight the impact of the agency's work within the Jewish community.
  • Develop and implement donor recognition and stewardship programs to ensure ongoing donor engagement and appreciation.

Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Plan, organize, and execute events, including cultural celebrations, educational workshops, and community gatherings.
  • Ensure events are inclusive, welcoming, and reflect the agency's mission and values.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program activities and outcomes.
  • Assist with grant writing and fundraising efforts to support Jewish engagement initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Jewish studies, Social Work, Community Engagement, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in volunteer management and/or community engagement, preferably within a Jewish organization.
  • Experience in donor cultivation, fundraising, or development roles is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This position requires travel between sites and therefore, you must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and liability insurance in the amount of $100/$300K. Also, if hired, you must produce evidence of having received the Covid-19 vaccination.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive salary range of $26.00 to $32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The above pay range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, background, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
