Job Title: Life Connections Program Facilitator Location: Federal Correctional Institution, Greenville, IL 62246 Schedule: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and conduct programs and seminars aligned with the LCP’s core curriculum.
Provide religious instruction and counseling up to 30 sessions per week.
Track and report inmate community service hours.
Offer counseling to aid inmates in their transition.
Make Inmate Skills Development entries in the LCP database.
Foster relationships with diverse religious communities (Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Jewish, Pagan, Buddhist, etc.).
Coordinate, account for, and track print and audio-visual resources for LCP staff and contractors.
Hold inmates accountable for meeting goals and requirements for program graduation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in religious studies, religious education, spiritual direction, psychology/counseling, criminology, or a related field.
Experience with transition training and facilitating groups.
Basic computing skills, including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, scanner, and printer.
Preferred: Prior correctional experience working with adult offenders in a faith-based setting.
Ability to work with and teach diverse religious groups in a correctional setting.
Ability to develop and implement lesson plans.
Ability to track and manage resources.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to hold inmates accountable.
Proof of qualifications and submission of a resume, educational documents, personal references, and an endorsement letter from a local religious organization required.
