Perlman Summer is a 7-week program which includes the International Leadership Training Conference (ILTC) and Kallah. ILTC is designed to hone leadership skills for teens serving (or aspiring to serve) as regional BBYO position-holders in their home communities. ILTC participants often become the top leaders of the BBYO teen movement, gaining skills in recruitment, program planning and civic engagement. Kallah is a Jewish learning and spirituality institute that inspires teens to explore their Jewish identities and interests in a diverse, pluralistic setting encouraging questioning and experimentation. Kallah participants gain important Judaic skills and come away feeling a deeper connection to Jewish study, Israel, and community. Both programs are expected to reach 200 teens.

Work Commitment: ILTC/Kallah | June 17 – August 7, 2025 - $2,200
Chapter Leadership Training Conference (CLTC) is a 13-day program designed to develop and strengthen the leadership skills of BBYO chapter leaders. At CLTC, teens from across North America will form mock chapters and learn specific skills that help them lead their chapter at home. CLTC builds on a curriculum based on teens focusing on leadership development, program planning, and hands-on experience. CLTC is expected to reach 600 teens across 4 sessions throughout the summer.

As a Madrich/a Specialist, in addition to living in the bunk with teens, every madrich(a) will have the opportunity to have a role in a specific area at camp. The positions and requirements are listed below:
Lifeguards: The lifeguard madrichim are expected to be lifeguard certified by the time they arrive at camp. You will be expected to lifeguard at the pool and lake. BBYO will cover the cost of a lifeguard certification class prior to the start of the summer.
Medical: The medical madrichim will assist the camp nurse in administering medications, helping with sick teens, and taking teens to urgent care. This person must have experience working with/studying nursing, pre-med, or related health field.
Jewish Educator: The Jewish Educator Madrichim will focus on supporting teens in T’filah planning, preparing for their Bnei Mitzah, and supporting Shabbat and Jewish Enrichment programming. Strong preference for someone who is fluent in Torah reading.
Songleading: The Songleader Madrichim will focus on supporting music on camp which can include campfire music sessions, Shabbat Shira, T’filah song leading support, and overall
Shabbat atmosphere support. Songleader must play an instrument with strong preference for guitar.
Office Madrich/a: The Office Madrichim will be assisting with daily administrative tasks in the office including communicating with staff, teens and parents. They must be computer proficient, strong organization skills, a good problem solver, and have strong communication skills.
Operations: The operations madrichim will be supporting in all set up and breakdowns of programs. They will be coordinating the Maintenace and general operation needs. This may include going through packages, mail, etc.
Photographer: The photographer madrichim will be responsible for taking pictures during the program day and into the evening. When programming ends, this madrichim will organize and upload photos to the google drive.
All positions are seasonal.
