 Job Summary: To further the agency's mission by providing cross-cultural counseling services for the benefit of clients and the community. This Psychotherapist will be serving refugees, immigrants, and non-English-speaking individuals. JFS supports a flexible work environment with hybrid work options available to most positions.


Hiring Range: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour


Hiring Bonus: A hiring bonus of $1,000 for unlicensed (must be within 3 months of being licensed) and $1500 for licensed is now being offered.  This amount will be pro-rated for part-time staff based on the number of hours worked. 50% will be paid at hiring and the remaining 50% will be paid at one year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, children, and groups. May provide additional outpatient services, including consultation and client education in a variety of settings.  Home visits as needed.
  • Provide specialized case management services to mental health clients as needed.
  • Complete intake of new clients, make appointments for on-going treatment, facilitate referrals for additional resources, and assess to ensure appropriate level of care. Train staff and interns if needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and serve on committees.  
  • Attend continuing education classes, workshops, and training seminars.  
  • Maintain timely and accurate client records in electronic health record database.
  • Work with interpreters, transportation providers and other refugee service providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Current work entails a hybrid model of working remotely and in the office.  This can fluctuate per programmatic and /or client needs.

Requirements

 Education

  • LPC, LCSW, Ph.D., or Psy.D, preferred, but can be working towards licensure.
  • All mental health clinicians must register with CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Health) within 7 days of date of hire.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years post-graduate experience in individual, group, family, and couples therapy to diverse clients preferred,
  • Familiarity with Medicaid guidelines and coding.

Other:

  • Computer literacy is required.  
  • Ability to relate effectively with clients from diverse cultures.
  • Additional language proficiency skills are welcomed.
