Position Summary:       

The RIETS Mental Health Counselor will provide counseling and guidance to RIETS students.

This is a part-time position.

Position Responsibilities:

Position includes teaching responsibilities and the administration, scoring and follow up of standardized tests in emotional intelligence.

Position serves as both rabbi/Mashgiach as well as doctor/counselor

  • Provide mental health services to RIETS students
  • Counsel students one on one
  • Run group therapy sessions for students
  • Provide guidance to students in areas related to rabbinics
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Experience & Educational Background:

  • 5 - 10 years of clinical practice with individuals and groups
  • PsyD or PhD in clinical psychology
  • Semikha from an accredited institution

Skills & Competencies:

  • Familiarity with mental health issues within the greater modern orthodox Jewish community
  • Familiarity with customs/traditions within the greater modern orthodox Jewish community
  • Special training in administration of standardized tests in emotional intelligence
