About the Unit 

The Float Pool provides support to all of our inpatient units including med-surg, intermediate, intensive care, cardiac, surgical, transplant, and a variety of other service lines. Float pool staffing provides a crucial service for our customers, not only to ensure safe quality patient care, but provides support for our unit colleagues as well. You will be offered opportunities to expand your knowledge and maintain an expansive skill set with a variety of patients throughout the facility that will enable you to become a resource to others.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky

Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units

Associate’s degree from accredited college or University

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in speciality

 

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from accredited college or University
