OpenDor Media (ODM), a leading global non-profit organization, is seeking an accomplished and dynamic VP of Content Strategy & Production to lead and manage our multi-disciplinary content teams, including video, social media, website, and podcast production. This senior role is designed for a strategic leader with extensive experience in high-level content management, capable of directing teams to create cohesive, impactful media that aligns seamlessly with our mission and educational values. As a key executive on our Unpacked team, you will drive innovative content strategies, ensure cross-platform consistency, and elevate our brand's reach and influence in the digital and educational landscape.
What you’ll do:

Strategic Leadership - develop and implement a comprehensive digital media strategy that ensures brand consistency and a strong online presence across platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, podcasts and websites.

Team Management - lead, mentor, and inspire a team of content creators, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages high-volume creativity and innovation.

Content Alignment - work closely with the head of education and CMO to ensure that all content aligns with our educational objectives and brand tone while maintaining a balance between thought leadership and engaging storytelling.

Industry Trend Analysis - stay abreast of digital media trends and pop culture, integrating this knowledge into creative projects to keep our content relevant and cutting-edge.

Data-driven Optimization - work closely with our data and metrics team to evaluate platform performance, leveraging data-driven insights for strategy optimization.

Relationship Management – collaborate closely with donors and key stakeholders to ensure clear communication, project transparency, and alignment of expectations, while serving as the liaison between senior leadership, the production team, and external partners to drive project success.

What you have:

10+ years of experience in digital media strategy, content creation, or a related field, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful digital media campaigns across platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, podcasts, and websites.

5+ years of leadership experience managing and mentoring creative teams, with a focus on fostering collaboration, innovation, and high-performance output in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in aligning content with educational objectives and brand tone, balancing thought leadership with engaging storytelling to drive audience growth and engagement.
- Strong background in industry trend analysis and pop culture, with a proven ability to translate current trends into creative, cutting-edge digital content.
- Experience working with data analytics and metrics, with a solid understanding of leveraging performance data to inform strategic decision-making and optimize digital content performance.
- Proven experience in stakeholder and donor management, with the ability to communicate effectively with high-level stakeholders, maintain strong relationships, and manage expectations throughout the lifecycle of creative projects.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing best practices and SEO, with the ability to oversee the technical and strategic aspects of digital content creation.

Our target salary range for this position when based in New York is $150,000 - $180,000. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.
