What You’ll do

 

As an Accounts Payable Clerk III, you will be responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to Accounts Payable. This position is also responsible for the management of accounts issues and specialty accounts.

  • Responsible for Accounts Payable data entry.
  • Complete vendor statements.
  • Assist in the management of specialty accounts (i.e., Stihl, Cargill, Import, Local).
  • Audit and resolve invoice payment errors.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of supplier records.
  • Partner with buyers and vendors to maintain correct records.
  • Process incoming phone calls and emails.
  • Partner with store locations and vendors to validate inventory and ensure correct payment.
  • Investigate issues with accounts and deal credits when necessary.
  • Update supplier records.
  • Resolve invoices that are past due or on hold.
  • Oversee trade management.
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities for Success

 

  • At least 2 years of applicable experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of retail business practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
