We are seeking a reliable, hard-working Assistant General Manager who is looking to build their skill set by joining our team. Our comprehensive training program will teach you these Old-World arts and ensure your success and growth in our company

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Reports to General Manager
  • Order supplies, food and ingredients based on rapidly shifting demand (these items include, retail, coffee, tea, all FOH supplies)
  • Train kitchen and FOH staff in specific stations, and cross-train as necessary
  • Create schedules for FOH staff to ensure there are always enough workers to meet the demand
  • Maintain inventory levels and conduct full weekly inventory
  • Schedule and oversee necessary maintenance and repairs on equipment
  • Assist other Management with menu changes and adjustments based on seasonal availability
  • Respond personally to guest questions and complaint
  • Place all food and beverage orders, receive orders, ensure all items are to brand standards
  • Observes all personnel at the beginning of work shift for compliance with all checklist items
  • Verbally informs personnel of any menu or pricing changes, shortages, specials, or other factors that relate to food production or service
  • Checks projections of sales  and production of food levels and preparation
  • Supervises food and preparation and service operations,, while assisting FOH and BOH workers during rush periods
  • Assists GM in generating and collecting reviews daily, and weekly business reports for compliance and standards
  • Lead the team in cleaning and maintenance of the facility and equipment
  • Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
  • Assist GM in ordering food and product for refill and production purposes, and receive food to ensure it is up to standards and expectations
  • Leads restaurant in culinary execution, audits pars, and in-house food production schedules
  • Train and develop new team members so they can advance their careers and have upward mobility
  • Monitor and control all food and labor costs under the supervision of the General Manager
  • Produce high quality food
  • Perfectly executed cooked to order breakfast items

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong Leadership/Communication skills
  • 2+ years' restaurant management experience
  • Basic Knowledge of Excel/Google Docs/Word
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule ( Weekends included)
  • Experience with delegating tasks and maintaining fast speed of service

Preferences:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Experience with computerized point-of-sale systems Toast POS System, Restaurant 365, and/or ADP is beneficial
  • Able to work on feet throughout the scheduled shift
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Able to work weekends.
