Position: Bachelor of Social Work Intern - Safe Parking Program


This Intership requires nights and weekend with the hours between 4 - 9pm

Description: The Safe Parking Program supports families & individuals living in their cars find safety and support with the overall goal of long-term housing stability. The BSW Intern is responsible for providing advocacy, information and referrals for participants within the Safe Parking Program. Interns will be supervised by the Safe Parking Program Manager.



Responsibilities:


Under the supervision of program manager with a BSW:



  • Conduct intake and assessments for new participants within 3 days of program enrollment

  • Develop service plans with a focus on financial stability and re-housing

  • Help clients navigate resources and provide follow up services as needed.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure service delivery.

  • Ensure all documentation is timely and meets quality assurance standards.

  • Learn and maintain legal and ethical responsibilities.

  • Develop resource coordination and knowledge of local community providers.

  • Attend weekly individual and/or group supervision.
