Executive Director, Center for Countering Antisemitism and Hate
With alarming rates of antisemitism continuing to rise in Maryland and across the county, The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore is leading a new initiative to proactively combat antisemitism. The Center for Countering Antisemitism and Hate (working title) will both integrate and scale existing efforts while also launching innovative responses. We are seeking an experienced and talented Executive Director to successfully launch the Center and to lead The Associated’s system efforts to combat antisemitism.
Organization Overview
The Associated is recognized as one of the top Jewish community organizations in North America and a national leader within the Jewish Federation system. The Associated ensures the delivery of community services to the Baltimore Jewish community, the people of Israel, and Jewish communities around the world. The Associated meets our community’s needs by leading a network of nonprofits. It spearheads initiatives to provide community security, fight antisemitism, deliver essential humanitarian services, create meaningful Jewish engagement opportunities and connect Jewish Baltimore with Israel, Jewish communities around the world and the greater Baltimore community.
The Associated’s Annual Campaign is the central vehicle for all the organization’s beneficiary agencies and programs, supplemented by fundraising efforts for strategic projects. The Associated’s annual budget is approximately $50 million, and The Associated also maintains a diverse real estate portfolio and a robust endowment and investment program with over $1 billion in assets under management.
With a staff of over 100 full time employees, The Associated has stayed true to its promise of serving the Baltimore community with urgency, excellence, compassion, and a commitment to Jewish values.
Position Overview
While our community has long been engaged in confronting and fighting antisemitism, The Associated recognizes the dramatic shift in Jewish life post-October 7, 2023, and a need to boldly expand current efforts to counter antisemitism and hate. The Associated is launching the Center for Countering Antisemitism and Hate (working title) to better coordinate and scale the efforts of The Associated, Baltimore Jewish Council and other nonprofit partners. This new effort will integrate strategies across multiple sectors and audiences. Areas of focus include expanding support to students in K-12 and on college campuses, enhancing communications and marketing, leveraging Jewish empowerment, building bridges and advocacy, and ensuring security in our community. We seek a dynamic, experienced individual to launch and lead the Center and to work in partnership across the Baltimore Jewish community to counter antisemitism and hate.

Compensation & Benefits
Starting salary $135,000 commensurate with experience
