We seek an experienced, tech-savvy, and dynamic Finance and Development Assistant to support our
Director of Finance and Development Director in executing daily intake and posting payments, account
adjustments, corporate credit card import management, fundraising initiatives, and ensuring the
smooth operation of fundraising activities. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention
to detail, critical thinking, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in tech
tools such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Raisers Edge. The successful candidate will be
proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks with a positive attitude. 
Primary Responsibilities: 
• Intake, code, and remote deposit of checks
• Entry of all “In-house” check, cash, and credit card batches in accounting software
• Entry/Adjustments AR Invoices
• Review receipts uploaded to Commerce Bank. Send cardholders declarations for missing
receipts.
• Prep and import weekly Commerce Bank Corporate Credit Card activities.
• Track monthly postage expense per department, academy, and affiliates.
• Assist and prep monthly membership statements.
• Maintain a well-organized database of contacts in Raisers Edge. 
• Review and edit written materials with a critical eye. 
• Proofread fundraising proposals, donor communications, and reports under the Director’s
guidance with impeccable grammar and writing skills. 
• Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to create documents, spreadsheets, mail merges, and
reports for fundraising activities. 
• Provide diverse administrative support, including managing calendars, and creating reports. 
• Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, donor interactions, and financial
contributions. 
• Assist in event planning and execution, from logistics coordination to managing invitations
and RSVPs. 
• Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive
donor information. 
• Additional projects as needed by Director of Finance and Development Director.
Technology Requirements: 
• Experience with donor management software such as Raisers Edge
• Experience with Accounting Softwares
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
• Comfort with Google Forms, registration platforms, etc.
Qualifications: 
• Attention to Detail Proficiency, Excel skills including VLookup
• Problem-solving— identify and resolve problems promptly, gather and analyze information
skillfully.
• Planning/organizing— prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently.
• Dependability— Consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, and responds to
management direction.
• Have experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar support role. 
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills are critical. 
• Impeccable grammar, writing skills, and ability to craft compelling communication materials. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while
maintaining high excellence. 
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to work collaboratively within a team. 
• Strong follow-through and commitment to completing tasks accurately and efficiently. 
SALARY & BENEFITS: Compensation commensurate with experience with a generous benefits
package including full health, vision, and dental coverage. Range: $23.00-$26.00/hour
