Portraits of Honor Project: Our Michigan Holocaust Survivors is an interactive educational exhibit of the Program for Holocaust Survivors and Families, a service of Jewish Senior Life of Metropolitan Detroit. The purpose of Portraits of Honor is to document the lives of Holocaust Survivors who have lived in Michigan for education and for posterity. Portraits of Honor is a learning tool about the lives of Survivors through their photographs, biographies, and historical references.
Jewish Senior Life is hiring a Program Assistant for this important project.
This is a 15 hour/ week, temporary position and expected to last 12 months. Monday through Friday, Flexible hours.
This position requires exemplary character and integrity be exhibited while carrying out the duties of this position.
JSL is looking for an independent, self starter capable of transcribing oral histories and stories to text. Candidates will also assist the program director with other duties as needed. Candidates should have 2 or more years working in a professional office environment and be proficient in using Microsoft Office and data entry.
