About the Israeli- American Council: 

 The mission of the Israeli- American Council (IAC) is to build an active and giving Israeli-American Community throughout the United States to strengthen the State of Israel, our next generation, and to provide a bridge to the Jewish American community. 

 

Job Purpose:

The IAC NY EDGE Manager is responsible for fostering a vibrant, cohesive, and engaged community of young professionals in New York. This role aims to establish a dynamic and innovative network, preparing members for future opportunities. Key responsibilities include overseeing targeted expansion areas from inception to delivery, and ensuring alignment with IAC’s organizational goals to guarantee quality and success. The IAC NY EDGE Manager reports directly to the IAC NY Regional Director.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Develop vision and strategic plans for EDGE NY, in partnership with the EDGE committee.
  • Outline yearly calendar of events and initiatives for the three (3) EDGE pillars: Business, Israeli Culture, and Love.
  • Refine the strategic plan to support the mission and growth objectives of the IAC.
  • Oversee execution of EDGE NY including providing best practices, tools, and resources for EDGE NY events & initiatives.
  • Key Events: EDGE Summit, Pitch Night, Shabbat Dinners, Jewish holidays.
  • Provide budget guidelines for event execution costs and submit P&L for IAC NY Regional Director’s approval.
  • Operationalize EDGE community events to set a new bar and uphold the IAC standard of excellence.
  • Conduct post-events wrap-up and analysis for all above.
  • Identify and seek funding opportunities to support the EDGE program from local funders including assisting in writing grant proposals.
  • Market the program, events, and all related activities in all channels including online content, social media outlets, and promotion through local organizations.
  • Best practices, knowledge sharing, and ongoing learning from other regions.
  • Lead the creation of new collaborations as well as preservation of relationships with existing partner organizations as well as professional networks and other associations, to maximize opportunities for the IAC as a whole. Collaborations: Israeli business leaders, investors, networking opportunities.

  

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Passion to setting new bars and innovation.
  • Strong connection to both Israeli and American identities.
  • Experience in event management/marketing/business development/ partnership development.
  • Experience in working under pressure and multi-tasking.
  • Strong social skills and experience in community building.
  • Flexible hours to include work in the evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Experience in the Israeli and/or Jewish sector is a plus. 
  • Highly efficient and organized.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Speaks, reads and writes in English & Hebrew.
