Overview:

Join our team as an OPWDD Investigator in our Community Programs division, located in Westchester County, NY.  In this role, you will conduct investigations for the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).  This position is up to 14 hours per week as needed, with compensation set at $50 per hour.  Investigations must be completed within the specified timeframes (4-days for ICFs and a 20-day time frame for IRAs).

 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Conducting meticulous and comprehensive investigations in adherence with OPWDD specified timeframes.
    • Conducting in person interviews and obtaining written statements from all relevant parties.
    • Executing investigations utilizing the Community Programs of WJCS investigation format.
    • Offering informed recommendations to supervisors based on investigative findings.


Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

    • Thorough knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
    • Successful completion of OPWDD approved Investigator training.
    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience conducting investigations either for an OPWDD certified setting or in law enforcement.
    • Excellent organizational and follow up skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, facilitating effective communication.
    • Effectively communicate in English, both orally and written.
    • Proficiency with computer skills, namely Microsoft Office.
