B’nai Jehudah Child Development Center located at 12320 Nall in Overland Park is looking for amazing educators with a passion for working with children ages 6 weeks to 1 year old. B’nai Jehudah CDC provides a secure environment designed with age-appropriate equipment and décor, enabling children of all faiths and cultures to learn and grow to their full potential.


Schedule and Benefits 

  • Full-time Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm 
  • Full benefits options include paid time off, medical, dental and vision insurance, retirement and HSA options plus family membership to The J 
  • $1,000 Hiring Bonus eligible after 6 months
  • $18-$21/hour (based on education and experience)

Responsibilities

  • Support a classroom environment that promotes learning through open-ended activities and materials. Create weekly lesson plans that support development
  • Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom 
  • Ensure safety, supervision and KDHE licensing requirements are being met at all times 
  • Cultivate and maintain a positive relationship with parents and other team members through formal and informal communication on a daily, weekly, monthly basis 
  • Train and orient teaching assistants as necessary 
  • Attend training and professional development opportunities as assigned 
Requirements
  • Experience working with infants in a licensed environment 
  • History of consistent attendance and punctuality 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements 

Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
