Partnerships Manager

Overview of Position
The Partnerships Manager plays a vital role in fostering connections between clients, volunteers, and the local community while supporting development initiatives. This position combines responsibilities for volunteer coordination, community engagement, and development support, ensuring the successful implementation of programs and fundraising efforts. Working closely with the Greater Toledo Newcomer Center (GTNC) and Jewish Family Services (JFS) teams, this position strengthens relationships with stakeholders, clients, and donors, contributing to the agency's mission of uplifting the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Community Engagement and Outreach

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase community engagement and participation in GTNC programs and events.
  • Create and distribute promotional materials to market events and programs effectively.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from community members to assess the impact of programs and identify areas for improvement.

2. Volunteer Coordination and Support

  • Recruit, interview, screen (including background checks), and onboard volunteers.
  • Schedule and manage volunteers, maintain accurate records, and ensure adherence to agency protocols.
  • Organize and execute volunteer appreciation events.
  • Provide training and supervision for student interns and professional volunteers.
  • Create and update orientation materials for new staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Develop new volunteer opportunities to enhance community involvement.

3. Development and Fundraising Support

  • Assist in planning and executing Annual Campaign appeals and other fundraising initiatives.
  • Generate segmented donor and volunteer reports for email and direct mail campaigns.
  • Collaborate with vendors to manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Support the creative process for campaign materials and outreach strategies.
  • Prepare monthly fundraising and data-driven reports, maintaining donor and volunteer databases with accuracy.
  • Draft donor thank-you letters, spreadsheets, presentations, and other communications.
  • Be the liaison between granting and family foundations, seeking and researching grant opportunities. Meeting with program managers and working with the JFS Grants department to apply for opportunities. 

4. Resource Advocacy and Client Support

  • Assist clients in accessing resources through direct referrals or by connecting them with appropriate staff members.
  • Maintain and update client-facing resource guides and an internal agency resource manual.
  • Maximize the utilization of agency financial assistance by staying informed about available community and government resources.

5. Event Planning and Administration

  • Plan and coordinate community programs, fundraising events, and volunteer projects in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Provide logistical and communications support for events.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions and processes.

Other Duties and Competencies

  • Represent the agency at various forums, demonstrating commitment to the mission and values of GTNC and JFS.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and process-improvement measures.
  • Exhibit flexibility and professionalism in adapting to changing priorities and situations.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of relevant experience, or Associate degree with 3+ years of work experience.

  • Experience working with donor or volunteer databases (GivEffect preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new software systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse populations.
