As a Pickleball Professional at Aaron Family JCC of Dallas, you will be joining an exceptional and well-known pickleball program in the area. You will report to the Director of Racquet Sports and will be an integral part of building and growing the program to its full potential. This is a contracted position. Standard rates for group lessons and a percentage of private lessons. Evening and weekend hours are required. The Jewish Community Center is an equal opportunity employer (EOE).


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Provides beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels and ages of players.

· Assists in promoting and conducting pickleball clinics, private lessons, special events, and programs to attract and maintain members'/guests' pickleball interests.

· Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive pickleball lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that will encourage continued involvement in pickleball.

· Ensure students understand pickleball rules, scoring procedures, safety rules, and pickleball etiquette.

· Enforces all Aaron’s Family JCC of Dallas rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment, and other property.

· Quickly and efficiently responds to member/guest questions, comments, and concerns in a professional, tactful manner.


ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS:

· Complete biweekly payroll for all services provided.

· Check online rosters for completed payments for classes, clinics, and lessons.

· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).


ESSENTIAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

· Net Generation Certified or College pickleball experience preferred.

· Experience teaching pickleball lessons to adults and juniors of various levels.

· USA Pickleball 4.0 rating minimum preferred.

· Thorough knowledge of the games of Tennis and Pickleball.

· Positive attitude and self-motivation.

· Works well collaboratively in a team environment.

· Pass all required criminal history background checks (which may, depending on the position you are hired for, include an FBI fingerprint check).

· Adhere to our Mission, Core Values, and all HR policies and procedures.

· Must be able to meet routine office physical demands including climbing stairs, carrying up to 20-pound objects, and possessing the dexterity and vision to operate office computers and equipment.

· Current American Red Cross First Aid, CPR & AED certificates or ability to obtain certification.
