Preschool Teacher & Family Programming Coordinator We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to serve as a Preschool Teacher & Family Programming Coordinator for our Gan Mah Tov (lit. “Really Good Preschool”) Infant/Toddler and Preschool programs. The Preschool Teacher & Family Programming Coordinator, who reports to the Gan Mah Tov Preschool Director, will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of young children within a nurturing Jewish environment. Responsibilities: Preschool Teaching:
Engage preschool children in developmentally appropriate lesson plans that both promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Rotate through the Gan Mah Tov classes to foster a love of Israel, bring Jewish values and traditions to life for the children, and enable classroom-dedicated staff to take breaks during the workday.
Create a nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe and respected.
Family Programming Coordination:
Facilitate activities for Gan children and families to encourage connections and celebrate Jewish culture and traditions.
Organize events that help strengthen and promote strong relationships with students, parents, synagogue members, and the broader Jewish community.
Organize and lead a program for parents/guardians to drop in for free play time in a safe, toy-packed space and engage in a Jewish-centered circle time with songs and stories.
Qualifications:
Passion for early childhood education
Experience working as a preschool teacher, preferably in a Jewish educational setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of Jewish values, holidays, and traditions preferred
Familiarity with Hebrew language preferred
CPR certification preferred

Our vibrant, nonprofit preschool of 30+ children is located in Beth Jacob Congregation, a Modern Orthodox synagogue in the beautiful Trestle Glen/Park Blvd neighborhood of Oakland.
