Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant will be a member of a dynamic, professional, and fast-paced team of the chapter. The Administrative Assistant works with the chapter team to support fundraising and development efforts in the Miami area. She/he will report directly to the chapter Executive Director.

 

Essential Job Duties 

  • Perform all receptionist duties - answer phones, greet guests and visitors in a professional manner
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including coordination of mailings 
  • Manage inventory and order office supplies
  • Implement, maintain, and update all databases in coordination with the National office
  • Assist in coordination of base visits and missions
  • Assist in galas and donor recognition items for FIDF programs
  • Responsible for logistics of speakers and visitors 
  •  Maintain on-line filing system 
  • Perform other duties as requested. 

 

Position Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years administrative experience required, preferably in a non-profit organization
  • Donor database experience, preferably Raisers Edge
  • Full knowledge of MS office suite
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment 
  • General knowledge of non-profit arena
  • Event experience preferred but not necessary
  • Light lifting required
